Transition 2 (Winter to early Spring) As Winter transitions into early Spring the garden is full of change. In a cream jug harking back to the owner’s childhood, there is winter heather, mixed with flowering rosemary (for remembrance) and a deep pink hyacinth which had started to break through the sodden earth. Snowdrops are the ultimate symbol of hope and Resurrection as is the Narcissus and even the humble crocus.
Early Spring is also a time of migration and the white feather alludes to this as well as the shell speaking of transience. White pebbles and a shell helps us think of the sunny days on the beach to come.
