Angela’s Tulips in a Green and Gold Vase has a selection of a neighbour’s tulips with a stack of seaglass. The flowers, favourites of the Dutch Masters, considered exotic in the 17th and 18th centuries, but now a feature in many English Spring gardens. They are contrasted with glass that has spent an unknown amount of time being tumbled by the North Sea. The contrast is of ephemeral beauty with timeless journeys.
